    hi,

    was just wondering if there are any insurance companies that would insure a provisional licence holder to drive in england or if it is even legal for an irish provisional licence holder to drive in england?

    Only legal within island of Ireland AFAIK.

    afaik the provisional licence is only valid in the the state of ireland.

    no , your licence if not valid outside the republic....

    ??? are you sure - I think it is valid in NI (or I was driving illegally years ago!).
