    I got a sub box for sale but i wouldnt see how
    anyone would put 6x9s in a boot well not in a box
    anyway.

    You wouldnt put them in a box,especially in the boot.There generally used for rear shelf mounting.

    What car is it for?is it possible to make a new rear shelf from mdf?

    You can run them off your headunit but an amp will always sound better

    Thanks eireal for the advice but that won't work either.

    The Car is a Honda Integra (4 door import). There is a strange kind of
    metal frame below shelf with only very small gaps so the 6x9's won't fit
    unless i was to remove part of frame which is probably not a good idea.
