Green spaces and growing herbs etc.

    If you live near a wild green space, have you ever thought of planting herbs or other plants, more for the sheer divilment of it, or beating the system if that makes sense, as opposed to any serious attempt at self sufficiency.

    I live near the "nature reserve" by Sandymount beach and it seems like it would be a good spot to plant various herbs, raspberries etc. there is already wild herbs growing if you know what to look for.

    being a complete purest, i can't condone taking over what little wild areas that are left. sprinkleing seed of other wild plants from the local area might be ok but not bought plants. However i would condone a form of wild gardening along motorways, but don't eat the fruit!!
