I like these... the last one is nice. I like you b&w choice, works well. Pity about the framing though, really wish that he didnt seem to be missing bits of his ears in the shots :) The last one is my fav, I like your contrast and and nice soft detail in the fur. Nice cat too!

Nice cat, I'd up the contrast though. Like the second one the most. Hope my cat lives to be 18.:)

i really last the last one and composition (eye on the diagonal), not sure about the shallow depth of field. I would have like to have seen both eyes in focus. Looks like the lighting conditions were poor so you probably opted for a small f number.

Yes,it can be quite nerve wracking posting up here as there are some very talented people on this forum. But I have found the majorityof them to be very helpful and encouraging, offering good advice and tips.Keep posting :) .I like your shots,as has been said, perhaps a tad more contrast, but all in all, good job.

Thank you! The lighting conditions were poor, evening time on my bed. They were originally colour shots, I changed them to black & white. See what you mean about her other eye being in focus, I absolutely agree. I've just changed over to digital so I'm still trying to get used to apertures, etc. I've a lot of learning to do.

Agreed - some people think that they can reach a stage or find a style where from that point on they can just churn em out like on a conveyor belt - and the result just gets less and less impressive.

To my mind the best ones keep trying new things and keep experimenting and learning along the way and keep their approach and outlook more fresh and less jaded.
