looks good but i would rather a bit more starting stack or at least put in the 25/50 blinds.
it woud be a great tourny if you could make it a 7K starting stack.
i live in swords so should make this .how come the date is so far away?

Gholi is right, with a 5K starting stack you really need to have a 25/50 and 75/150 level. For a game that starts at 1pm would this really be a problem? Freezing the blinds at 5K/10K is good though.

yep, would be interest if the 2 blind levels your missing were add and a better starting stack, even 6k would be better.

also, what is the standard of dealer like? for 25 they would need to be good.

Also will there be any issues with the management with regard finishing time i.e toward the end will there be any levels skipped or shortened to facilitate a finishing time deadline?.

the details provided are not cast in stone, although that is the plan, starting stack can be made bigger depending on feedback from you guys.

We put the date in september because we are currently running one tournament a week in swords ( 20buy in + 5reg, 15 re buy and 20 top up) in the harp every second monday and the millenium every second wednesday, we are giving away up to 3 tickets each week to our tournament winners and some stt's on the night, so far we have 27 names down for the big night but we wanted to give our regular players chances to qualify through the satelites.

We do hope to start doing a freeze out like this every month or two depending on success

The dealers are being hired from a freind of mine who runs a casino in town, but dont forget only for the final 40players, as we have to pay for room hire and wages, advertising and other expenses we are trying not to spend to much to keep the prizes high.

Talking to my partner about a 7.5k starting stack at the moment but will only add the 25-50 blind not the 75-150 blind i think

We do not for-see any problems with the management with regards to a finish time and as were playing for a good 12 hours i do't think there will be any problems

Sure the Millenium is no re-opened were there every secon wednesday (next game 5th july) €20+€5reg to play starting stack is 2000 ( early reg bonus of 500) normally 3 rebuys + 1 top up per player. Our numbers are not very predictable unfortunately most so far @ 72 players least @ 38 players.

    blinds are:
    50-100
    100-200
    150-300
    200-400
    300-600
    400-800
    500-1000
    700-1500
    1000-2000
    1500-3000
    2000-4000
    3000-6000
    4000-8000
    5000-10000
    10000-20000 then frozen
blinds are 20mins til the break then 15 mins after the break because of closing times in the pubs.
Were there from 7pm each night and game normally starts about 8.15

The game in the harp is the same and every second monday from 10th july

Is there a reg fee for rebuys/ top-up?.
Is the game played on proper poker tables?.

I just asked in case it was just the bare pub tables or something!. I dont want to be walking into a sawdust joint!. I must use the term 'What are you packin?' in one of these games. I believe this is the phrase going around the pub games when someone raises:D .

    Eshan raises to 450

    randomer: "What are you packing!"

Its played on poker "table-tops" if you know the fold up ones the are Green with a chip tray and drink holder for each player and they sit nicely on top of the bar tables

PS: I'm usually "packing" pockets aces
