Or I think I've seen The Client on RTE about 30 million times in my lifetime but they wont show a film like this.. ****TARDS.. I could rent it and all but.. meh, my point is TV sucks dick

    Sorry.

some french dude owned the rights and wouldn't let anyone have a go of the film. it wont be on TV in the next year anyway, because warner will want to make as much buck on the new DVD release before giving it out to tv stations.

I read somewhere that the new DVD will come with 3 cuts of the movie on it.

    The original cinema release.
    The directors cut.
And the Definitive Directors Cut. - This will also get a limited cinema release, so I've read.

I doubt if this one on play is that DVD set as the definitive directors cut isn't gonna be in cinemas till 2007.

The standard Bladerunner was on tv about fiftheen years ago.

The reason I can remember is because someone told me about the film and how I would have liked it .

the directors cut was released on video about 15 years ago, , you have already seen the directors cut. if you check the dvd details you'll see the release date (1992) on the webpage yo gave which indicates the VHS directors cut release.

    According to Wikipedia theres four major versions;

    1) Theres the original version.

    2) A "directors cut" extended version that WB released in 1990.

    3) A definitive directors cut released by WB in 1992 that Ridley Scott oversaw, but wasnt happy with.

    4) A definitive directors cut that Scott IS happy with updated CGI etc. This was made in 2000, and won't be released untill 2007.

So is it possible to see the last one, you know, before 2007? Is it floating around anywhere, as these things generally do?

    Simple test -

Q: Did the version you see have a protracted voice-over throughout?

YES: You saw the original cinema version somehow.
NO: You saw the director's cut (first run) which also includes a couple of extra bits...

think ios the link in the OP post states years of release as 1982 and 1992 so we know which ones it'll be number 3 rerelease of number 1,
ps wikipedia is maintained by fans not industry insisders so take everythinhg with a pinch of salt.
