Im trying to book a US domestic flight from Boston to San Diego return, for the last week in august, just wondering if anyone can recomment a no frills airlline in the states that would give a good fair, like a US equivalent of ryanair.

    Thanks

www.jetblue.com (do the route, but with connections)
www.southwest.com (they don't serve Boston directly, but check in case you might find a nearby airport)
Don't forget the main airlines - sometimes they can have quite cheap deals (www.usairways.com), (www.united.com) etc

American Airlines (www.aa.com) do a direct Boston/San Diego flight so it might be worth checking that out, even if it is a little dearer for convenience sake alone.

Something like http://www.kayak.com or http://www.sidestep.com/ will search loads of airlines at the same time (not SouthWest though).

Pretty much all the US domestic airlines are no frills these days so it might be cheaper to fly with one of the big 5
