So what are those moments in poker (aside from the obvious cashing in) that you just absolutely love? The bluffs, the banter, the outplays, the traps?

The thought of this thread came to after a particularly delicious incident. My Aces got sucked out on a K2 favourable flop. I was raging, absolutely raging. Second time Aces were cracked in as many minutes. I felt like throwing the PC out the window I was so angry (not having the best run lately). So I decided to just stop myself, took a few deep breathes and reloaded. Within 10 minutes I had taken it all back with interest.....oh oh oh, the sweetest thing.

opponent: hmmm, i have the flush, but it aint high, do you have the flush, hmmm... i raise, 1000 now...
me: ah crap, i have the flush, but its not high either... but i think you're bluffing... 2000 now...
opponent: make it 4000!!!!! call that!
    me: i'm all in!!!
opponent: Noo... ok i fold (shows 3h)
    me: Wooooo!!! (shows 2h!)

    classic.

Yesterday playing cash game and there was a crazy ammount of action prefop and pot was about 360 before the turn 6 players called for about 60.
Dead certain there was AA out there and i call with 1010.

Flop comes A32 and im first to act and push all in for my remainder of $70 and i sit back in my chair. All 5 of them fold. Happy days. I ask what did ye have and i get a KK, QQ, 99 response from 3 of them and i throw down my 1010.

Everyone at the table bursts out laughing. Was a nice bluff even if i do say so myself.

Picking off big river over-bet bluffs with Ace-high or worse.

When I bet the pot on the turn, and a 'value bet' on the river of half pot from EP in Omaha on a board of 3679K. 2 callers on the turn. Both fold on the river, and I show my (blind raised preflop) hand of 8883 for loads of blockers.

Love that. And the lone A move to.

10 euro full table STT, first blind level.

One player is ultra-loose ultra-aggressive. UTG he makes it 6 BBs to play. The player on my right is utra-passive and ultra-tight and calls. I am MP, look down and see the hammer (7 2 off-suit). I decide to "have fun".

    ALL-IN!!

A person on my left, with only 2/3 stack because of silly play in the first few hands, calls.

The ultra-loose ultra-aggressive player thinks for a long time, then says "one caller is enough" and folds. The ultra-passive ultra-tight player folds as I expected, meaning he doensn't have AA. :p

So I think "crap, a caller" and think I'll have to win the STT with 1/3 stack lol

I ask the other players what they folded, as to get some value out of my "having fun" move. JJ ( a real hand he raised with!) and AK (actually expected that, since he called 6 BBs).

So I turn over the hammer. The whole table is disgusted except the player that called who turns over 55.

    Flop J 7 10, turn 3, river Q.

The both other players were on instant tilt after that. ROFL

I won that STT on the simple fact that whenever I bet someone didn't believe me. So I (over)bet every good hand. It was soooo much fun. I can still crack up that ultra-loose ultra-aggressive player meantioning this event and the fact that he shouted "I hate you jacQues, I HATE YOU!!". :D

floping a low set in a raised pot.
or stacking a fish in a cash game shortly after he has out drawn you ...
    priceless...

    flop was AAJ
    Turn: 5
    River: 4

Lots of betting throughout. He folds and shows A2 on the river.

I show a matching 2.. then a 4. He quickly went out of the stt after playing terribly afterwards
