I vaguely remember some posts on here a while ago about body shots and some mentioned that they try to ignore them......ignore that!:D

    good pic.

yeah it was me that said that. i probably did not explain myself well, what I meant that when I am on the move went sparring, I decided not to let good shots bother me, and I still hold to the belief that this allows me to take a decent body shot and still keep moving. I am not saying I could not be KO'ed with a body shot, the point I wanted to make, was since I firmed up my mental resolve, I can take alot more punishment that I used to, without letting it bother me too much. and it works!

Remember I am in with full time Thai fighters, training twice a day since their about 6 years old, and these wee thais can hot hard too! :-) Most of the lads age 19 - 21 ish have had on average over 100 fights. Amazing!

Is it better to have or not have air in your lungs taking a shot like that? I say this cause I heard somewhere that it makes a difference to whether you break your ribs or not. Mind you I wasn't really listening at the time, evidently, I can't remember if it's in or exhale.

They always taught us to exhale (kiyop!) in anticipation of chest shots, especially if they might impact the solar plexis. That's what I teach my students to do now.

If cro cop kicks you on the body, you could have air in your lungs, no air in your lungs or an admantium skeleton and you would still go down faster than a cheap hooker!

If you've got time to think about inhaling or exhaling, you've got time to move!

On a side note. Someone offers you €1000 to stand and take one, just one, kick to the body from Crocop. What do you do?

You stand there and then jump out of the way. Follow that by flicking a mentos into your mouth and give him a cheeky grin and a thumbs up. Such hilarity will ensue that he will give you the 1000 with a hearty laugh.

Considering the time required off work to recover i would need a lot more than €1000!!!!!

Not if you didn't need to be alive to work! Like an undertaker, they don't need to.... no hold on I just got a little confused.

Probably should up the ante there alright. Maybe €1005?

How about €2010? You see I'd have to take two shots, one enhaled one and one exhaled one, to see which hurts/breaks more of me. I'd do it, in the name of scientific research i'd do it!

No I wouldn't, that is crazy talk. That would snap me in two.
