Best Duel of all Time?

    Okay, I was originally going to start a thread defending Episode I, but then i realised the only good thing about it is the sabre fight, so what's the best duel of all time from the films? Personally, I think its the duel in Episode One, if only, for nothing else, the musical score "Duel of the Fates"

    Technically = Maul v Obi and QuiGonn TPM

    Cinematically = Luke v Vader ROTJ

    Think we did this already, Luke V Vader in ROTJ as the climatic Father V Son duel of the saga. Just to see Luke loose the nice guy act :)

    I hate the Vader/Luke duel, hated it the first time I saw it

    Best, either the finale from EpI or Obi Wan against Anakin in EpIII

    I voted Darth Maul vs. Qui-Gon Jinn & Obi-Wan on grounds that it is the most spectacular duel of the saga imo.

    And although I would almost agree that the Vader vs. Skywalker duel in Ep.VI is quite possibly the most cinematic, I do have to emphasis "almost" on account of the aforementioned ep.I duel. It just *feels* like a Sith vs. Jedi fight, and Obi-Wan looks absolutely steaming after watching Qui-Gon die and having to wait to get at Maul who just taunts him with his saber.

    Wow, these are quick replies. The Ep III duel was enhanced by a "remixed" version of Duel of the Fates.

    Eh... What about Luke versus Vader in The Empire Strikes back? That would be my favourite.

    Gotta say Anakin Vs Obi-wan in Ep3. The first half is brilliant but the second half looses the pace a bit. The fight in Ep1 had a huge impact because it was such a huge step up from what we had previously seen.
    The music in the fight isnt a remix its just Anakin Vs Obi-wan (Ep3 soundtrack) with Duel of the fates in the middle.

    The Track "Anakin vs Obi Wan" is excellent but does not feature the Duel of the Fates anywhere....

    battle of the heroes is similar to duel of the fates in that they both use choir voices to fill out the orchestra, but they are very different.
