OK. I have the recovery discs for my laptop. I bought the laptop with a deal through my college and the recovery discs are special ones that were given with it, with software already installed.

What I want to know is how do I actually start the recovery process. How do just get the system back to the way i had when i first got it.

I thought i just had to put the first recovery disc in and turn on the computer but that doesnt work. Please help me. I have a feeling I have to press one of the F keys when it boots up or something. Thanks

    EDIT - its a dell latitude C550 (i think)

u will need to get into the BIOS and change the boot order ( to boot from Cd ROM first ), also with some models on start up it will tell you what F button to press to choose device to boot from.

Dont forget using these recovery CDs will wipe your drive so if u have stuff on it u want back it up b4 hand ........
