I have to say, that given the concerns about the aerodynamics of the glider expressed in the first movie, its nice to see they have worked it out to the point that they can cut a few more holes in it and a guy in a duffel coat can work it gracefully.

If Superman succeeds and they make another, this, darker direction is the only way they can go. Americana and feel good movies can only take you so far. I'm not saying rape Louis Lane but you know where I'm coming from.

The last scene of that spidey 3 trailer is great.

a producer said recently in an interview that at a certain comic book convention they would reveal the details of a fourth bad guy in the film. Many people have speculated that it might be black Cat (seen dancing in the trailer with Parker), The Lizard (has appeared in every film so far but not in Lizard form) and for a while IMDB had the actress who played Aunt May cast as Aunt May/Carnage scarily enough.

If you pauze the trailer the new goblin looks like the old green goblinfrom the comics. The suit has purple on it.

Green Goblin II, Sandman and the Symbiote as the 3 villians with Venom being introduced for the next one. It would be far too much to have Peter finding the suit, rejecting the suit, introducing Brock, having brock humiliated, have brock find the and merge with the suit... it's just too much for one film to cover properly. I'm interested to see how they're going to go with the origins of the symbiote... Jameson's son (an astronaut) jealous at losing Mary Jane could easily be the one to work it into the plot.

I want to have faith in Raimi, but cmon, Venom/Eddie Brock isn't supposed to be a skinny kid. He was a disgruntled muscular guy in his 30s. That's why it's bad casting, I don't care how "evil" grace can act. He shouldn't be tryin to change Stan Lee's characters!

Stan Lee certainly didn't have anything to do with the creation of a naff character like Venom.

Thanks for the welcome, but I just don't like this guy for the role. He's all wrong for it and since Venom was my favorite Spidey character, Ive taken it to heart. Now if you'll excuse the pun , if Topher had any grace he woulda just said "No Sam, Im wrong for the part".

Anyhoo, back on topic.

I like Venom as much as the next guy but were just gonna have to wait and see what happens. We'll have close to a year to debate this casting decision and 2 hours in the theatre to see if it'll pay off or not - I just hope it does, by the grace of God (last one I promise)

Grace looks like he's bulked up a lot for the role, I reckon he'll do just fine. Sir Ian did alright as Magneto, and he's not exactly Mr Universe.
