    Hi all,
I'm normally loathe to mess with things in photoshop that I couldn't pull off in the darkroom given a week or twos work. I've experimented with some tone mapping here. What do people think of the effect?

I wouldnt mind seeing a higher resolution copy of that - when I look on flickr it doesnt have the 'all sizes' square to upsize it. Its kind of hard to tell at that resolution - it does look interesting though.

Soz, just back from squash, it should have the all sizes thingie on it,I'll check my privacy settings. Thanks for the comments.
*EDIT* I think I could only download the larger sizes, if you try it now it should be viewable to all other Flickr users.

Really like this - thumbs up for creativity and originality. I especially like the beads of water on the leaves. :)

I have to agree with Alison. This would look awesome with a decent frame on it!!

@ Mikeanywhere, I've never stuck a frame on anything but have been thinking about it for a long time. I suppose I'll have to get around to learning how to eventually.
@ Johnny b, There's a little plugin called Tone Mapping :)Check here. They also do a thing called Photomatix pro that is a much better replacement for the 'Merge to HDR' in Photoshop.
    If it hasn't got a slider then I won't use it ;)

I think if a similar picture that you took and altered like above, framed (whether it be by you or someone else) and sell it, then you will make a few bob out of it.

I have a few friends back home in the UK that have bought prints fairly similar to that and I have to say (without making your head any bigger of course ;) ) that I would see yours as much better. It would defo create a talking point in anyones pad.

Yes I know it was done in photoshop and all that but this work could be perceived as an identity to an artist/photographer which we as the general public identify, like and obviously buy.

Sorry, got a bit carried away there!!

    Cheers,
The thing is I have zero interest in making moola from photography. Well and good if I do but I really just do it to fill in a bit of time, I only work two days a week and have five days free time to myself.
That whole having to deal with people as potential clients never appealed to me. I'd just feel awkward.

Just chiming in with 'yep, I love it too'...

It's so busy and usually that would put me off but it just works, somehow. I have to go and look into this now!

P.S. Five days free a week? I'm sooooooo jealous. I think standard weekends should be stretched to 3 days long, at least.

I totally understand where you are coming from. All I am saying is that there is a huge demand for it. I know what my mate paid for his pics (& he has 4 of that style). Keep the work up and I really look forward to seeing more of it.

    PS - I'm jealous too ;):D
