Does any body know if RTE are going to show the finale as a two hour episode like the US?

Most TV schedules are 2 weeks forward so the date/time of the S02 finale is not yet, AFAIK, available.

Where do you get your schedule from ?

The last 2 episodes you speak of is infact just 1 episode, officially anyway. Only 1 opening credits and end credits.

So I would presume they would show the 2 parts on same night

This is true for the original airing, but it wouldn't be for subsequent repeats, though. E4, for example, would for stripping it into a daily hour showing air it as two episodes (as with "Exodus" Parts 2 and 3.) For those airings, BVI have made "Exodus" available as three episodes and will do "Live Together, Die Alone" as two, both with their own set of opening credits, preceeded by a 'teaser' set of scenes, and a "Previously on...".

All the double Star Trek:Voyager episodes, which originally aired on UPN as two-hour 'telemovies', were broken back as two individual episodes for international distribution, complete with two sets of opening and end credits (particular to each specific episode) and with separate post-opening title credits for part two such as guest stars, producers, writer and director.

Thats a very poor move IMO. I got in two parts but watched all as one. Ya have to really as the first part has no real ending it just kinda stops. Also
is Desmonds backstory not spread over the two parts - i can't rememeber

Thats a piss poor way to show it considering its one episode.
'Part 1' will have no real ending if they do it that way.
Plus the story being told in the flashbacks will be split in two when it really shouldn't be.

I guess people shouldn't be suprised. This is RTE after all.

Lost is only airing six or seven episodes in the US and taking a break for 6 weeks and should return in febuary for approx 16 more episodes so RTE could also start it Jan/Feb.
