just looking for a little advice. Bought a 2000 MK4 Golf recently, noticed that when i turn right there is a squeaking/squealing coming from the car somewhere. had a look around the net and maybe it's something to do with drive belts? any suggestions?

Could possibly the drive belt for the alternator, a/c and power steering - it may be slipping when you put it under load - but realistically this should happen when turning left aswell.

Check under the wheel arch to see if the plastic liner has come loose and is rubbing the wheel when it turns.

thanks, i'll take a look and see if anything is out of place under the arches. might drop into a mechanic later and see what he says.
