Guys need your advice really quickly

I'm about to buy alod of stuff on Komplett and i'm not that good at know what items will work with my processor

this is the processor

Intel Pentium D 940 3.2GHz Socket LGA775, 4MB, BOXED w/fan

And i need other new things to make that work.

Like motherboard €100-€130
power supply €100
Does this processor have RAM built in? if not 2 GIG ram €150-€200
Graphcis card that will work with it for about €250
Sound card. €50
Would i need an extra FAN?
250GIG hard Drive. €100
all rough prices guild lines...

Want to spend about €850-€900 in total

forget intel go for this bundle and buy a SATA 2 HDD, 480plus Watts of power and GFX card seperate !

Now is a really bad time to upgrade. Wait until amd cut their prices next month.
And put the extra money from not getting a sound card into a better graphics card.

Dont mind all that " dont buy now " rubbish , there is always something bigger , better and cheaper around the corner , you have to buy sometime or you just wait forever !!

I agree with this ! people talking about COnroe and AM2 and when it arrives its tends to be hype! not much better than the previuos chips ect ! ;-) if you want it and it works for you why wait!

In most cases I would agree, but have you seen Conroe benchmarks and pricing lists. Amd will get slaughtered if they dont drasticly drop price's on X2 chips when it arrives.

Wouldn't touch the PSU with a 40 foot pole, but the hard drive and graphics card are nice.

Don't go by memory or speed when picking your graphics card please! Google for reviews of the model number eg "x1600xt 7900gt review" and youll quickly see how the performance can differ (possibly by an order of magnitude) for cards that look the same on paper...
