I just got these put in and they are costing me €4800 as opposed to €3600 but apparently i will be finished my treatment a lot quicker than the pervious method.

    Anyone else have any experiences?

At first glance at your thread I was like wtf??

But I googled them and they're what I have. I was supposed to have my braces for 2 years starting May 05 but I'm getting my top brace off next month and then the bottom one off in about 2/3 months. :D So yes they do work :)

Edit: I paid the same amount as you did.

i think we have the same dentist lad :)
    No names mentioned.. :)

Apparently my treatment will last 18 months as opposed to years and years. No retainer needed either i think as the teeth move more naturally.

    Rathgar????

Well I'm delighted with my progress and I can't wait to get even the top ones off. I'm going for my last tighten on them tomorrow and will get them off the following visit.

It's a great system and it works wonders, have you to get teeth out?? It'll take you about a month or so to get used to them and to figure out what food you can eat with them. Stay away from doritos, they tend to get stuck in them and can lead to them coming loose.......happened to me like 3 times :o:p

    Yeah, its Tony.
I have 4 extractions this Thursday[the 4 4's] and the rails are going on the following Thursday.

Is there any real discomfort when they are tightened?

Ah Tony is the greatest dentist ever, he won't put you wrong and always explains things 100%.

It can be uncomfortable some times tbh but a little sacrfice has to be made.

I'd try and get a lift back from the dentist if possible on Thursday, not to freak you out or anything but there'll be a bit of discomfort afterwards, nothing major and should only last about 3/4 hours. Your mouth will feel weird after it though.
