I am at the early stages of planning a website.

Wondering can anyone offer me a quote on what they would charge to do the following:

    - 6 pages
    - registration of users giving them special privilages and probably management of their own accounts.
    - payment via credit card into a bank account.
    - probably be using sql server database

I think that's all there is.

    Thanks.

To be honest there are still a lot of questions that need to be asked/answered before you can get an honest quote

    1) What exactly will the users be able to do with their "accounts"
    2) Will you need some kind of management system to manage these users
    3) Do you have a merchant account set up or would you need something like that/paypal set up for you
    4) Have you got a domain and hosting yet? Does that need to be organised

Even apart from that - looking at design and development, you might be looking at atleast €1500 for what you want (so far). The answers to my questions would increase the price

    Fair enough-

    1) what exactly will the users be able to do with their accounts. - I'm a bit sketchy on this one..There would be two types of accounts...one which is free to register, and a second which you have to pay for...Just thought when you register on a site, you usually have some sort of account...In this case it would be the bare minimum, just so users can keep a history of their business on the site, no pm's or anything like that.

    2) management system
well users wouldn't have ability to submit content to the site, not unless it was authorised by an administrator. So would probably be a single administrator, who managed what went on the site and such.

    3) Do you have a merchant account set up or would you need something like that/paypal set up for you

Well I would probably use something like paypal...probably do this part myself.

    4) Have you got a domain and hosting yet? Does that need to be organised

Am in the middle of organising the domain name - haven't done anything about hosting yet...

You should ask here, loads of designers hang out there and you'll probably get a lot more offers:)
