Getting Music of a Sony HD5

    Hi,

I have a Sony HD5 with all my music on it, which was loaded from my desktop (now in storage for the summer in Dublin).

Initally I was fairly happy with the Sony HD5 but then it went crazy and buttons stopped working it crashed really often. I was still inside the warranty and told Dixons I wanted it changed and showed them all the stuff wrong with it. They said they needed to send it back to be looked at, I refused this as the battery door was scraped from me constantly trying to get the battery out to reset it, and they said they would charge me for time if they though it was my fault.

So last night I bought a Creative Vision M, and was trying to get music off my Sony only to be told I am not allowed to transfer off my laptop. This is slightly on the annoying side, as the Sony contains all my music (all legit CD's I bought), now I dont have access to my laptop or my CD's. So I only have about 3 CD's worth of music I can put on?

So the question does anyone know how I can get music off the Sony HD5? By any means nessecary now, I am sick to death of the Sony.

Oh and on an unrelated point does anyone know where I can buy a charger for the Vision M, its a real pain in the ass it doesnt come with a charger in the box (complete cop out).

Hi there - have you stored your music in atrac or mp3?

You can transfer your mp3 tacks off via a bit of software called "Grab Your Music"
