anyone know if you can put one of the Zalmann VF700-Cu on a pny 6200 agp?

the one in my htpc is making a lot of noise, need to get it down..it looks like from the compatability chart only the pci-e is supported

My experience of Zalman products is that if the site doesn't mention AGP then it's just not going to work with AGP.

Can you get another Zalman product for your 6200? LIke the ZM80C-HP ?

That list mentions the GeForce 6200 (PCIe) and not the AGP model.

My only experience with these coolers was that I managed to hook one up to a 6600GT without any problems!

Don't know whether this is of any assistance but thought I'd mention it!

looking at a picture of the card and the cooler, i don't think it will work

and none of their models list compatability

damn...everything else is so quiet...and this is a brand new mobo bought with agp support just for this card...the old one was so loud i couldn't hear the card, that and it was only a 900mhz proc...

If you have the €€€ (€125?) to spend then you could do what I did and get a silent, fanless GFX card.

Maybe you're not a gamer but to be honest, that 6200 isn't exactly "cutting-edge" :)

it didn't need to be cutting edge, it's in a home theatre pc, basically only using it for the component out to my tv at 1080i, which is why i don't want to spend a lot of money..it'll never play a game..
i may have to look at silent cards i guess..didn't want to spend any more money on this though

and, if i was going to have to get a new card, i would have bought a pci-e mobo instead...makes me think i'll just live with the nosie..
