My girlfriend is an eeeeeeeeeeeejit and brought about twice as much stuff as she needs. We're returning to Bangkok from Koh Tao this evening and want to send the unnecessary stuff back home. Anyone know how we can do it and what the costs are likely to be?

    Thanks

Go to the Central Post Office on Chareon Krung Road. They're fairly efficient there and will help you to wrap it etc.
It's easily reachable from the boats on the Chao Phraya river or you could walk about 20 minutes from the skytrain: http://www.into-asia.com/bangkok/maps/riverside.php

I only sent smallish gifts back so it didn't cost much but there were lots of farang there sending enormous objects such as furniture and the like. You might be able to work out how much it'll set you back from the rates here: http://www.thailandpost.com/newweb/index_en.asp

I used the farang desk at Sukhumvit post office and even though nobody there spoke English the process was hassle-free and my goods arrived home safely after a short time and at minimal cost.
