The T9 and T30 are actually much nicer to use than the N1. N1 feels much bulkier (sp) by comparasson.

going solely from whats written there (and by looks of course) I'd rather have the N1

Me too... Even tho its for her i'll prob end up using it most of the time... Well until she breaks it.. I think she does it on purpose just so she can get new toys

The very same thought that went through my head while camera shopping for my girlfriend last christmas.

I have seen some good work on dev art from the sony cybershot - I think its the digital equivalent of the 'sureshot' which was a fairly bullet proof little camera.

I have the N1 and im continuously surprised with the quality of the shots it produces, Ive often mistaken shots ive taken with it for shots from my 350D, It has a fully manual mode and the touch screen is genius (apart from cleaning it!) Ive had a good few of the "T series" sonys (T1/T3/T7) and the N1 is a far better camera, the only thing I miss is the magnifing glass mode, but thats a small gripe, the photo slideshow with music and effects always gets a giggle.
