I just checked their website and the event has changed to a €100 freeze out.

I might give it a bash.

Does anyone know anything more about it, expected numbers finishing time etc ?

    Oops - " a €100 double chance freezeout "

That sounds interesting. I much prefer freezouts and the double chance games are usually very good.

Can you confirm if this is the game format for tonight Fintan?

Usually anywhere between 70 and 100 runners. If you go well, you wont finish till its bright out in the morning.

any idea what the starting chip count is?......i'm assuming its 2000 + 2000

    Like your confidence Charles.

Judging by the usual game down there, id say the double chance stacks will be 4k+4k but i could be way off here.

Starting stack is 3k with another 3k available after the first hand.
    Usual blind structure.

start time is usually 8.....early chips if you reg before 7.45......although im not sure if there will early reg chips with the new format

  • Registered Users Posts: 636 ✭✭✭Pokerevents

Yes there will be early bird chips up t 7.45 with a 8 o clock start time.

Reg is included in the 100. The buy-in is 80 plus 20.

    Out is 13th !

Standard is pretty poor - managed to get 13th without any decent cards !

I enjoyed the game last night even though i was card dead all night. Was a couple of card racks at my table and one of them eventually took me out about 20th when my AK was no match for his jacks.

Anyone want to give details of who won last night as did not hang around after i went out.

This dude was going quite well.

Can only guess that the players who kept paying him off were hoping to knock him out so they wouldn't have to listen to him anymore !

Was at his table when i went out and he was lucky to be still alive when his 69s beat an AK when all chips went in preflop.

Ah it's about time he got some of that treatment. Kinda a rite of passage or some such :) I had assumed when post was made that he knew DM posts here. He is a luckbox though - e.g. STT for Gresham 500 event reraises allin, gets called. It is 56o vs QQ. Flop is 234. Wow.

It's good to be lucky, it's good to be good, it's better to be both though.
