Waterproof casing for a 350D - anyone got one?

I'm interested in getting a splashproof casing for my 350D. Having looked for such a thing, all I'm coming up with is the Fantasea casing which is a touch on the pricy side. It looks great and all that, but is probably overkill for what I need it for, plus the information on it is a bit thin on the ground with respect to how much it'll cost to proof a 300mm lense (and possibly bigger in the future) (all that seems to be supplied is coverage for the standard kit lense). Plus, I haven't seen any really balanced review of it - they all seem to quote from the press release for the casing. As the list price is nearly 1000 dollars, I'd like a little more info before I went down the road.

Has anyone got a waterproof casing for a 350D and if so, what to they think of it?

Are you getting it for underwater photography or for wet situations?

As far as I know the expensive ones usually come with insurance for the camera+lens, which will cover you in case there is a problem with it. The cheap ones might come only with warranty which will cover only the casing.
Keep this in mind as a cheap one might cost you a lot more...

Wet situations. I've no interest in photographing underwater scenes, but I take quite a few watersports photographs, and frankly, there's only so far I'll be able to progress with a 300mm lense from the beach. Already I know my limitations vis a vis what the tide is doing and will probably aim towards wading in a few feet as well.

From what I can see, there are five or six different very expensive casings on the market, ranging in price from the 1000$ for the Fantasea, up to around three and a half grand. But I really need protection for the long lense and information about that is very thin on the ground.

    Calina,
Go to warehouseexpress.com - there's a section in the camera listings called lens covers or something like that. There are plenty there.

If you know your gonna be getting wet, then don't be afraid to (oooh...pun coming up...) splash out on protection. (Hehehe)

Have you thought about something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Camera-Waterproo-Protector-for-645-Camera-Medium-Size_W0QQitemZ7623252645QQihZ017QQcategoryZ43479QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

I know this one is for a medium format camera but I bought one from the same seller a while ago that fits the 350D. They dont seem to have any of the ones that fit the 350D at the moment but you could always drop them an email and ask when they will be getting them again. I found this seller very good to deal with.
