What is Standard Installation????

    Hi Guys,

I have just moved to a new house which is south facing. This is a shame for the summer BBQ's and also a shame as I'm not too crazy about sat dishes mounted on the front of my house.
I'd like to install the dish on the back of the house on an extended pole peering over the back (you know the type, just like an old tv aerial).
I'm assuming sky doesn't include this in there standard installation package... Will they charge me much more for requesting this, or is there any sat installers that will include this in the standard charge?

    Thanks.... :D

No they don't include over eve gutter mounting - You need T & K Brackets and a pole attached going over the gutter - However this only works if your roof is a small slope.

You could chance putting up the poles yourself and see if the sky installer will put the dish onto it for you under standard installation...He/She Might if your luckey

You could also notify sky when your ordering and i think they charge 39.99 or something extra to do this for you

    Hope this helps

Sky advise Sierra installers to charge no less than & not much more than €66 for T & K brackets.

t + k are a bit of overkill for a minidish, theres a T bracket with welded cranked pole which does the job with less imprint on your wall. Hope it works out for you

Quite normal roofs work with "over the gutter" rear mount as the "beam" is at a 20 degree angle upwards.
