Im going interrailing with a few mates through holland, germany, croatia, poland and italy for a month. Ive already bought flight tickets and rail tickets but how much spending money do you think i'll need? (We're willing to camp for parts of the journey). Any advice would be appreciated

How long is a piece of string?

It all depends on what kind of a holiday you want to have. You won't get accommodation for much cheaper than €20 per night in any hostel.
Basically, the more money you budget, the more fun you'll have. Simple as that really.

I'd say you'd want to be at least looking at €50 per day. But that will vary from country to country. For example, when I was interrailing a pint went from €0.30 in Prague to €7.50 in the artic circle!

    Enjoy.

I'm hoping to travel to Belgium, Holland, France, Italy, and Spain(won't be using the interrail ticket here), and I'll be budgeting €50 per day. €50 x 22 days = €1100

1100 + €50 flight over + €300 for ticket + €100 flight from Milan to Barcelona (family thing in Alicante, have to train it down) + €100 flight from Alicante to Dublin = ~€1650

eh, I'm gonna have to take out a loan.....

    EDIT:

Take a look at this site:
    http://www.backpackers-planet.com/index.php

Brilliant site there, loads of links to hostels in most cities! I'm looking through it now to approximate the prices :)

I was in france, germany, austria, poland, cech rep, and italy, and me and the missus had a budget of 96euro per day (48euro each). It was plenty in most places and manageable in others. You can usually get a decent place to stay and food and beers for that amount also if you do a bit of camping tihs will save you a fair bit, therefor more booze!!!!! enjoy it!!
