I've been dabbling in 1/2 and 2/4 PLO recently and am wondering if there is ever any point in raising preflop?

If someone posted a question like this on holdem what would your answser be?

Of course you should, if you figure your hand is better than the limpers/blinds.
But you should raise with a variety of hands. A winning player over on 2+2 figured that when he raised preflop, AAxx counted for about 20% of his raising hands, the rest were 5678, KKxx, QJJT, 8899 and so on. If you only raise with absolute premium hands then you'll be in trouble especially at PL$200 and up.
And position is vital when raising. Never limp on the button unless it's very multi-way and you've a marginal hand.

    They may get a lol.

Honestly though at least 4 callers everytime I raise. This game is a sickness. I thought Hold Em made me tilt....

And laft I know. I raise with a variety from AAxx to 4567 to JJT9 etc. I thought at 2/4 there'd be less limp calling but I've played for an hour now, where everyones VPIP is 90%+ over 100+ hands. Ridiculous stuff.

yes, raise because your opponents are more likely to play really badly postflop in a raised pot

And dont continuation bet anywhere near as often as in Holdem.
