Cracking game at Newlands, France looking really good. have they solved the dilemma of 'Flaky' Freddie Michelak with Traille at ten? He's going well, big performances all round, discipline not good though.

I'm absolutely fu*king gutted I missed that game! I'm raging! Had to go down to Wexford to buy a bike... Rang my brother afterwards and he told me I missed a cracker of a game. Bloody typical!

Anybody tape it by any chance? Please say you did! PLEASE!!! :(

There has been calls for it for a long long time but I think Michoko will be playing in November, as he was rested for this tour. Also, SA were really, really poor. White seems to have terrible relationship skills with his players. First he bad mouths Schalk Britz, then Luke Watson and then he said that Monty's missed conversion was what lost them the match. They lost by 10 points ffs!

Certainly wasn't a vintage Bok performance, I just put it down to it being early in their season and all that...had no idea re: White's man/team management issues, sounds almost Matt Williamesque in the way he transfers blame to the players.

I didnt think they (SA) were awful, but I was amazed by the way in which a lighter French pack bossed 'em in the scrum, a definite rarity. Other than that they seemed focused and dynamic, particularly aroud the fringes, some of their running lines in tight were sublime. Reckon Russell booked his place for the tri-nations. France looked ominously good, almost anglo saxon in terms of their willingness to grind it out and LeClercs try was for me one of the best of the season. Excellent game from the neutral's viewpoint and the Boks V France game is becoming one of the best fixtures on the international circuit. Can only see the boks getting better and reckon they may do it in the tri-nations.

And we also beat the Boks to win the U21 World Cup! I hope the seniors do the same next year! :o

Did anyone here anything about Schalk Berger breaking two vertebrae in his neck? If thats what happened then his rugby career is probably finished?

EDIT: sorry just realised that was in the sa vs scotland game, still though terrible injury to sustain.

Yeah, I think I heard somewhere though that the injury isn't as bad as they had originally thought and that he might be able to make a return by January.

Berger had two vertebrae in his neck fused in surgery yeaterday. Apparently was successful but rehab will take anywhere from 6-8 months. There's also a possibility apparently with this type of injury that he may never play again....

Saw the highlights on Sky of the U21 final, very comprehensive win, and some extremely good players on the way up. Future looks bright for Les Bleus, congrats on the win

Thank you for saying the future looks bright toomevara! I have to agree with you after seeing the semi-final and final of the U21 World Cup! I just hope the seniors will do the same next year... :o Although with Laporte I find that unlikely... When you still see Magne on the field with his zimmer frame and all... Hard to be confident! Emile Ntamack would do a better job me thinks!

Maybe being a bit hard on Magne? Playing great stuff at London Irish at the moment, and have it on very good authority that he's training like a maniac! Who would you prefer to see in the drving seat for France...Noves?

Hell no! "Guytou" is staying in Toulouse and that's that! We need him too much!

And I'm not being too hard on Magne. He's been useless for France for the past 4 years... I'm glad he's doing great things for London Irish but it's irrelevant as he plays cr@p for France.

Whoa, definitely hit a nerve there! take it from that reply that you're a vrai Toulousain...Would you guys not put La Patrie before Toulouse:) . Sorry I know...really stupid question......

Yep you did! And it's quite a big nerve too!

When it comes to rugby I'm "Occitan" before being French (that explains the beautiful red & yellow flag you see in my sig. with "La Croix du Languedoc"). For example I wouldn't support Stade Français if they were playing against Castres (or even Leinster!). I would however support them if they were playing against an english club... It's all about priorities/the lesser evil! :p

Now, I am French (and proud to be of course) and of cource I want France to win the 2007 RWC! But giving our Guy Novès to the FFR? Hmmm... Tough call. If I was assured a win then ok, no problem. But I'm not. So we're keeping him! :)

I did, but have yet to watch it, or NZ IRL #2, or AUS IRL.
Have you tried any of the interweb video websites for a copy ?

Thanks for the lesson in French partisanship, that's me told....:)

no more talk of torrents please.

Public Mentioning of actual torrents could get boards in trouble.

I was referring to google video or youtube, not torrents.

Stefanno - I'll help you out if I can. PM me if you're willing to send me a blank tape.
