Calling all freelance grapplers!

Howdy folks,

In response to Dave's request on this forum, I've decided to try to put a team together. Now my training group is quite small (and a little short on experience!:eek: ) and I haven't run it by them yet but I'm quite confident that I can manage to pull out a -75kg, a -83kg and a +92kg, possibly also a -68kg but if you fancy it, you can take it that all positions are open.

You can call it "team mercenary" or "team probably finish last", but either way if you fancy competing for the fun and experience of it, or maybe because you're deadly and fancy being the star player on a team:D , give me a shout baz.oglesby[at]gmail.com or post here or IM me or send a self addressed envelope or whatever.

Maybe you missed the cut on your own club's team and fancy some revenge, in that case we can call it "Team Grudge!"

I've booked you on a steamer out of Pusan that normally carries Caviar to Portsmouth for Elton John's parties, they had a little room now that he's poor. From there you can hitch a ride on a submarine to Cobh, but you'll have to swim in from 1/2 a mile out. Once you hit land go to the cafe with the pink paint peeling off its walls (you'll find it), there'll be a train ticket in a plastic bag stuck in the S-bend of one of the public toilets there. I'm afraid you'll have to root to find which one. You should arrive about 15 minutes before the tournie starts.

Sorry about this but its all I could arrange on short notice...

Still singing out for members here lads. Should be a bit of fun and experience for anyone who wants it. Short notice I know, but how many grappling tournies do you get per year really?

So maybe you're sitting reading this, thinking I'd like to go for it but I'm too inexperienced/fat/sh1te. Fear not, I'm all 3 of those:p.

Hi folks,

I'm afraid I'll have to pull out from this. We managed to get 4 members which was a pretty good achievement considering the short notice but they alll seem to be congregated around the 75/83kg mark! Literally! Its too late to expect to get a few more in at this stage.

Unfortunately Team Mercenary will have to go in mothballs until next time.
