    I'm stopping off in Valencia twice on way to, and coming back from Ibiza,booking my hostel later,the city itself looks lovely has anyone from here been and can you give me the lowdown?Is the beach clean,etc?

    PS-I've used the search function but it's mostly related to Valencia Football Club :D

    If you plan to go out for a few drinks,head to the barrio del carmen area,around plaza del negrito is praticularly good.The Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias(the science and arts museums)is a great afternoon out,the buildings are very impressive,well worth a visit.Wasn't too impressed with the beach,from the old town you can get a luas like tram from pont de fusta there.All in all I thought valencia is great for a short visit.
