Yeah, let's get back to Fey's guitar. For a change. :p

What size neck did you go for?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

You need to try the chip baguette in the chipper in Balally, with a choice of ketchup, garlic mayo or curry sauce.

    Sacrilicious!

Doc, seriously man. I'm stuck eating crappy canteen food :(

It's the stock Ran guitars neck Ancient1. Supposed to be thicker than a Wizard although I reckon he'll just copy the ESP neck :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,848 ✭✭✭✭Doctor J

Stuck schmuck. Sort it out. If you'd bought a car instead of a silly guitar you could just drive up and get the chip baguette but no, you needed a guitar

    ;)

Just got a mail back from ran, €2820. The specs I put in matched the design of the ESP Edwards that was up here a while ago for €1200 plus shipping + customs, only with DiMarzio p'ups. I'm sure their materials are head and shoulders above the Edwards range, but it was too much of a price jump for me to something that is already on the market. All I'd have to do with that is learn to live with the side dish input.

That's what exotic tops and high falutin inlays will do ;)

Stick to the facts, keep it plain and you can get an amazing guitar for less than a high end Korean mass produced model.

I got quoted 1590 for that. The pickups aren't set in stone, the rest is pretty much, but that may be my next stop on the guitar line.

Hee, I didn't even see the OFR as an option :p The Schaller will be more than perfect though :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,034 ✭✭✭✭It wasn't me!

Yeah, if memory serves it took me a minute or two to find it for some reason... What think you of the specs on that though?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the neck binding and I don't like the Invader shape but besides that, it's a quality instrument.
