Got a bottle of Armegnac as a present

    I hope that's the right spelling.

    So, how good is this? I haven't opened it yet. It's a kind of brandy, but I'd never heard of it before. I'm a whiskey man myself.

    It's a lot fruitier than Cognac, not a bad brandy at all.

    It's a few years since I had it myself, but in Germany it used be served in glasses with a little lid on them to allow the bouquet to develop before drinking. It's called Armagnac by the way. (I'm only correcting because you asked ;))

    I would think that breathing would allow the flavour to develop a bit yes.
