can a scooter get picked up by a radar gun?

    I heard from a Guard that the radar gun doesn't work for bikes (or it does work but it's not sufficient evidence because it may not be accurate for bikes! Nor does it work at night/in the dark). Just what I heard.. Not sayin it's a fact but this guy is pretty senior so I'd believe him.

    Keyser Soze 5: Was this a fixed camera with markings on the road or just a Guard pointing a radar gun at you?

    Not if you've got a stealth moped. :cool:

    The radar gun may not work (do they still have many of those?), but the laser-based ones most certainly do.

    The newer Laser units are much more accurate as the laser beam does not fan out like the radar units. Scooters would present a better target than a "normal" bike as they tend to have nice wide fairings for the Gardai to aim at. :(
