garmin etrex legend

    i have a garmin etrex legend gps and i'm trying to get the location on the satellite page to display in degrees. for some reason it displays like this:

    I_ _ _ _ _ _
    ITM _ _ _ _ _
    and the lines change to numbers

    i have no idea what this means. i've set it to display in degrees in the setup menu but it wont display properly. any ideas?

    found the problem. apparently that position format is called irish grid. i changed it to hmm.dd.ss.s and all is well. thanks anyway
