Charging US Ipod through the mains? safe?

    I was just wondering it is ok to use a standard 3pin ipod charger in a US ipod..i just got one and i dont want to fry it..thanks

    ive searched the frequently asked questions, google and others.. and i cant find the answer. please tell me if you know the answer

    Look at your charger. It will have a sticker saying input.

    If it says something like

    input: 110V -240V then you are safe to use it here.

    if it says

    input: 110V and thats it then no.

    i think u answered the question steveo, but its an irish charger - so basically can i use an irish ipod charger on an amercian ipod

    Yep you most certainly can. I have had a few American iPods in my time and been able to charge them here no probs, both with american plugs with adaptors and irish plugs.

    Yeah it's no problem at all. You can buy internation chargers in airports also which are handy for travelling!
