    GIGSMART 30th June Preview

Temble Bar Music Centre - €7 in (I think)
AND we'll have the football on in the other bar. - We can't do better than that :)

The Monday Club are an indie rock n roll four piece based in Dublin. The band was formed in 2004 with an already experienced group of members, and went on to play music hot spots across Dublin such as Eamon Dorans, The Voodoo Lounge, the Temple Bar Music Centre and Fibber Magees to name but a few. The new addition of drummer Brian Mannion in early ?06 injected fresh energy and enthusiasm into an already hungry band.
The Monday Club are known for their energetic and enthusiastic live stage shows and their songs are a clever mix of elements, ranging from minimalist rhythm sections into raucous rock n roll, to catchy melodic more-familiar indie rock designs.
Plans are in place to make a stamp on the Irish music scene in 2006, with the band expanding their live shows outside of the Dublin area with gigs already planned for Offaly, Carlow and Kilkenny. The Monday Club are due to head into the studio this month to begin professionally recording their songs, hopefully to capture their irresistible live energy on disc. Make sure you check out their full energy live show as soon as possible.

Take five individuals; fuse their influences together in a solid and fresh rock band and you get Burma Shade. The band formed in 2005 and have been making a name for themselves on the Irish music scene with consistently impressive gigs and a range of different styles of performance. Their sound features prominent catchy guitar riffs, an extremely impressive female vocalist, groovy bass lines and drums that always seem interesting and appropriate to the song. Burma Shade gigs feature a wonderful musical texture with bluesy songs like ?Butterfly? side by side with straight out rockers like ?Monster?. Burma Shade are impressive, solid and should never be missed.

7 Minutes of Silence are relatively new to the Dublin gig scene, but they hit the ground hard and fast, with solid sounds and a sense of professionalism rarely seen in a band so newly assembled. Known for their impressive studio sound, with mp3s making major waves on the Internet, the band are hoping to capture their impressive sound on stage.

The Neon Stars have been doing some hard graft on the gig scene, working as a cover band while perfecting their own original material. On the 30th of June you will have the chance and the pleasure to catch the first ever original set by The Neon Stars!
Don?t miss this one, when they become famous you can always say ?I was at their first gig!?. Now THAT?S boastability.

(Completely nicked off the Gigsmart page, but thought you lot should know about it.);)
