Myself and a mate have begun the planning phase of a round the world motorbike trip. We're planning on taking a Honda Africa Twin 750 each.

Anyone traveled around the world on anything other than a plane?

Also I'm kinda interested in hearing if anyone has any spots that they've been to that were worth a look in any of the following places:

    Dublin - France - Switzerland - Italy - Croatia - Bosnia Heragova - Serbia Montenegro - Macedonia - Greece - Turkey - Iran - Pakistan - India - Nepal - India
    Japan

Sounds like a pretty cool trip. I read a book a few years back about a guy called Ted Simon who rode a motorbike around the world. IIRC it took him about 4 years to complete as I don't think he was under any deadline. It might give you a good idea of what to expect if you can track it down.

Getting from India to Japan might be a bit of a problem I'd say. If you try and go overland you'll have to get permission to take your vehicle through China and I can't imagine that being so easy.

Check out Nick Sanders, I think he managed it in under 20 days :) and has a couple of books out, you may find advice there.
I managed about half of Africa in a 1.3L 1967 Volkswagen Beetle. I met plenty of lads from Europe doing the Cape to Cairo route on bikes and one lad from Navan who had come all the way from there to where I met him in Zambia. You should be fine.
In France try to spend as much time in the alpine regions as you can, they're absolutely stunning, plenty of short day hikes to be had there. That area is on route to Switzerland anyway so you'll have no excuse not to. The Mont Blanc tunnel is expensive enough for a car (€32 one way), but I'm not sure what it is for a bike.
Nepal has a hell of a lot to do and see, not just the Himalayas (although they are the star), there are plenty of wildlife parks for safaris as well. Kathmandu is a very interesting place.
Get down to Esfahan whatever you do when you are in Iran, an awesome place.
Try not crash looking at the chicks in Croatia, especially the Dalmatia region.
