I was in Kos last August for a week with about 10 mates, we had a great holiday and the place is lovely and all that but not the best night like ive ever experienced, there was a good few scandanavians and they are not like the english women believe me so there wasnt alot of action but still a good spot

from what Stacksey says sounds like it hasn't changed much from when I was there in '95. Have to say I loved the place but then I was there with my girlfriend at the time. Stayed just outside Kos town which is a really nice town, loads of historical buildings ruins etc if that's what you like, plus 2 (I think) bar streets.
Compared to islands like Ios or Ibiza that nightlife would be quite tame but I liked it, still plenty to do and bars will stay open all night. Just not as many people as the more party orientated islands. As I said though, over 10 years since I've been there so may have changed a bit, not a lot I imagine (or is that hope?) :) .

Crete....i was there last year. If u want mad nightlife ie dancing on tables, pubs open late, parties in the apartments, stay in Hersonnisis (sp??). If your looking for something a bit quieter u could stay in surrounding areas. It has something to suit everyone. Im hopefully going back this year although im not into the dancing on tables :) but its a gorg island, lovely cheap food etc etc.

Kos is actually a lovely island but i didn't think much of the nitelife,i actually prefer Bodrum in Turkey which is only half an hour away by ferry much more to see and do.
