Strange stuff that your bike does

Well I thought this might be a bit of light harted fun. The idea is to post strange things that your bikes do. Weather its turn heads till the person walks into something. Make babys wet them selfs or what ever.

The Ducati Monster does two really strange things. The first is wether I am moving or at a standstill. Noise from the Termi's can set off certin car alarms. A guy I know said that I set off a ton of alarms going down the queys once after the rev-Up for DSI. We had just finished it and he lived near the queys. I've also noticed it doing this when I am in a housing estate. As K-Tric can verifi, When I was at his house the other week. The bike was in the back garden. A car on the side streed started beeping. When I drove past it for a laugh. It went nuts.

The second thing I have noticed is that when the bike is off and on a side street, no one looks at it. Its not shiny or pretty. But once it starts up, people drool over it.

So anyone else got any other oddities?

Mine wakes car driver up due to the small backfires that the SV make. Can be fun driving when it's doing this. It also makes drivers back off a bit if they're too close especially at lights. also people crossing behind the bike tend to jump as the exhaust is pretty powerful and they don't expect to walk behind a pulsing hairdryer.

also people tend to question my sanity for using the knobbly tck-80's

Mine makes a funny "tickety tickety tickety" noise whilst it warming up for 5 bloody minutes every morning  . Might as well be a diesel :D

Then there's the loud clicking noise every once in a while when its off caused by the over-head prop cooling and contricting.

when I ride into backgarden to park my bike, I can use REAR brake only :) why? because if I use front one I'll have a trouble to push my bike out of it with the front brakes on - brakes stay on, pads never go back in or smth like that, but only for rolling bike backwards?!

sounds like you need to clean out your brakes

you need to give your caliper pistons a good clean & have your brakes blead (imo)

Mine makes supermodels strip and run towards it at high speed. At least, that's what it said in the brochure. Haven't actually found any supermodels to test it out on yet.
