DJ Muzak Posters

Has anyone noticed the propensity for posters advertising DJ nights in such venues as the Market Bar, Globe, POD, Crawdaddy etc etc to all sound exactly the same?

They all promise Funky Beats/Electro/Soulful House (all the usual sh1te), are all called "Edukate" "Ph0ton" "Skankatonic Beatz" etc etc and feature a host of guys you've never heard of with Special Guest "DJ Rory SerialKiller" from "Top London Club - Rockstarz".

When you go along to any of them they play, in the immortal words of Pitman "Ragga and Funky Arse".

When did the phenomenon of all kind-of hip bars playing inoffensive jazz-funk DJ noodling apply its death grip to the Capital's social scene?
