Nicely done Crumbs. I was very impressed with Stormy River's run, and also with McEldowney yesterday.

    Today's selections:

    2.35 Jeremy won @ 9/2
    3.10 Soviet Song won @ 11/8
    3.50 Ouija Board won @ 8/1
4.25 Another Bottle (expect a big run today, should be in the placings) nowhere!
    4.55 Gilded won @ 11/2
    5.30 Polished Gem nowhere!

    Wednesday

2:35 I'm going to stick with Levera who has served me well this season. Seems to have improved with every run. The concern is his front running style which may set the race up for something else, however the way he kept on when tackled close home in some of his previous races gives me confidence coupled with the fact that most of the winners yesterday raced close to the pace.

3:10 Soviet Song, if she's back to her best there'll be nothing that will get close to her today, she's easily the best horse in this race. There does however seem to be concerns over her fitness and whether she is still as good as she was, if she drifts alarmingly in the betting I probably won't back her.

3:45 Looks like a coin flip between David Junior and Electrocutionist with preference for the former who has improved no end in the last year.

4:55 Roxan looks the bet of the day, the very fact that she made her debut in a listed race shows how highly she is thought of, she's sure to improve from that and looks to have the beating of cheif form rival Gilded through a formline with Cassiara.

I agree with writing off Electrocutionist. The Godolphin lads were interviewed yesterday and they aren't happy with the fact that their horses have missed training.

    2.35

SECRET WORLD - Only one race to go on but apparently Noseda thinks an awful lot about this horse and with entries in both the coral eclipse and the sussex stakes Secret World could well be good enough to scalp these today.

    3.10

Obviously I'm torn between two here. Echelon I believe has the stronger Jockey and is definitely on the up this year...They say that Soviet Song is best after a run each year and this may explain her below par run behind peeress last time. OR...she's on the downgrade....I'd doubt that but you really never know...To sum up...i might gove this race a miss. (Bon Nuit may run a big race for an outsider) EDIT: Bit the bullet and went for ECHELON

    3:50

As has already been said, it's hard to be bullish about any godolphin horse so David Junior should be the one here. However, does anyone else think that ACE is just too big? 4th behind shirocco last time is not bad form...another with a decent each way shout i think. (Considering I think that electrocutionist may not place)

    4:25

The money has come for another bottle again...but I fear that's just sjone's misguided thousands again...PRIDE OF NATION has ticks in all the right boxes in this trappy race....tentative vote...

Will return with the last two.....

:) Currently 9's with PP and is probably the best price they'll give for it. 8's with Ladbrokes.

I'd be pretty keen on Pride of Nation myself if it wasn't drawn so high, the admittedly small amount of evidence we have points to a low draw being an advantage. I think I may leave this race alone.

With that in mind I would not advise anybody to even consider a bet in the last race which is also over the straight mile until after the 4:25 at which time it will be a whole lot clearer where the draw advantage if there is any lies.

I know you're trying to be smart there Nick and suggest that all I was doing was picking favourites. I didn't actually look at the market when picking those horses, and mentioned many horses that were not at the head of the betting. I picked the horses that I think will probably fight out the finish.

there is a free tipping cometition on the attheraces website. You have a mythical £100 to back on the Ascot meeting. Winner gets £1000.

no need for the reply to try to explain yourself fade... your analysis was apt enough..

I wonder if I picked all favourites at Leopardstown too. (The next down face from roll eyes)

I've been lurking and not posting but doing well the last month or so. Hence my tips for Ascot today.

    Secret world
    Soviet song
    Ouija board
    Another bottle
    Sharply perfect e/w
    Wasseema e/w

Very good win for Soviet Song despite a slow start.

Two out of two for Sjones. Well done. :D

Did anybody see the first race and what happened to Levera, went to 50/1 straight after the start in running on Betfair and was beaten by a distance in last.

Cheers buddy. It wasn't a slow start, it was being held up. :)

Not a clue masterK, I didn't notice anything. The owner of Another Bottle was just interviewed on bbc, it might have an infection. Not looking good. We'll know on the run down to the start whether it will run or not.

Found out what happened, from Sporting Life.
There was drama about two furlongs out when Levera was virtually pulled up by Jamie Spencer after being badly hampered as the race began in earnest.

It's amazing the effect my money can have on a horse.

Nothing much to elaborate on, just feeling sorry for myself. Didn't see the race so have no idea what happened to it or whether it was in with a shout at the time of the incident.

I guess all you can say is, it's just one of those days. It is a pity we're involved in a sport where we are so much in the dark though.

Fair play to the jockey for switching to get a run at the perfect time. That animal was all heart and kept going and going.

    Cheers Bluetonic.

I sure did. I only got Ouija Board at 13/2 in the ATR comp though. So far the ATR comp has went as follows:
    14:35 Jersey Stakes (Group 3)
10 points to win on Jeremy at 9/2

15:10 Windsor Forest Stakes (Fillies' Group 2)
20 points to win on Soviet Song at 11/8

    15:50 Prince Of Wales's Stakes (Group 1)
10 points to win on Ouija Board at 13/2

Only 10 points on the two big ones. I've 20 points on each of the remaining three so you can be sure I'll end up with 3/6 for today!

Cheers the man. Lets hope Another Bottle is fit enough!

EDIT: Obviously not. Was going well at the halfway stage but faded badly.

I really feel sorry for Rashid...having to interview those idiots in the crowd...Anyone see that woman there....the interview didn't go to plan, he had to think on his feet for a new question so he asked..."And what do you think of the new stand?"

Idiot: "I think it will win."

I never spotted that. That is classic. I've Ascot recorded today, must rewind the tape. :)

4 out of 6 today. I'd say I'm well out of contention for the ATR comp now. I would have liked if the trainer of Another Bottle was interviewed after the race, with the worry before hand. Seemed to be going so well but just faded away.

Very good work today, Mr. Jones.

Well done Mr Jones 4/6 stonking tipping. :)

Eh u couldnt do teh same for day 3? :D thx.
So much for David Senior .....Meh no better than average in that race, never picked up to finish, boy everybody was so wrong about Electrocutionist, Ok didnt win but ran a monster race strongly at teh front held everything that came at him until Ouija Board came stormin. Good Horse doesnt forget hes a quality horse.

    In the last
Polished Gem was finished/ridden for no impression last three furlongs, but ride (or lucky ride) of teh day has to go to Jamie Spencer on Red Evie, he left it really late and had to come from a poor position at back of the pack to barge thru to just get up in last two strides.
