Fuggin kids!!

My daily commute takes me through Inchicore. Normally, this is a totally dull, stop-go part of the day, but the locals decided to spice things up yesterday evening. Stopped at the traffic lights by the Black Horse Inn, I felt something heavy hit my backpack. Now, naturally, my first instinct was to look up for flying cow droppings, or a body being returned to Earth from a UFO. However, it was neither of these things. A bunch of little sh1ts were standing up on the canal bank, about 40' from the road, bombarding the traffic with rocks. As mentioned, they hit me once, and didn't do any damage, but the cars around me were being struck repeatedly. The drivers could do nothing and go nowhere to avoid.
Little pricks like those kids should be held under the canal waters permanently. As the Maitre D' in Ferris Bueller's Day Off said, I weep for the future.

My mate was doing 70mph on the M50 when one of the little f`uckers dropped a concrete block onto the road. He rammed into/over it, mangling his front wheel.

He was lucky to come to a stop on 2 wheels, front was barely able to turn, just his momentum kept it moving. It set him back well over €200 to replace it.

Nasty - the damage that could have done isn't even worth thinking about.

Saw some tinkers doing this before. One woman stopped, got out and started screaming at the kids, and next thing one of their mothers comes flying out of the caravan, screaming at her and telling her they weren't doing anything

It should be legal run them down with your bike.

Too much effort. Think I'll just get a pistol. Well, everyone else in the city seems to have one! :p

You could be proactive and arrange to be walking by where they were at the same time some other evening/morning.....

I remember we had some cases like this in the Norwegian news last summer with kids throwing rocks at cars from overhead bridges, and they were actually brought in by the police and their parents were fined for violation of traffic laws. Serves them right IMO.

Hence why most bridges over roads now have cages!!!!!!!!! remember some guy being in hospital very serious (maybe died) after some little scumbags lobbed a block off a bridge over the M50 pre-cage days- straight through his windscreen.

As for the excuse - sure they are disadvantaged and have no playgrounds etc.....!!!!!! give me a break - you can be "poor" and have some kop-on!!!!!

I was parked in Jervis street yesterday in the green behind the shopping centre. Anyhoos as I was leaving the shopping centre I glanced out to see if the bike is ok and saw a toddler - max 3 years old trying to climb up one of the other bikes that was parked at the side by the grave stone things(i was over to the right)!! When I got out to my bike the kid was still there and scumbag-daddy was way over the other side of the green. The kid could have been killed if the bike had of fallen on top of him or knocked the bike down - I was there for a few mins arranging my shopping etc into the saddlebags and the parents didn't check the kids at all for messing at the bike! I'm def getting an alarm now!
