taken with a d200 with the nikkor 18-70. Mostly all at f8 and 18mm.

pp workflow on these looks somethign like- levels/curves/colour balance/USM.

    comments/critiques welcome and appreciated.

    thanks for looking.

My favourites would be #2, #6 & #7 great shots all round.

Yeah def some decent pics there, not sure bout #9 though. Personally I would have lined it up with the horizon, you naturally tilt your head anyway. Fav is #6 or #4 [Perfect simplicity, maybe crop or clone to get rid of the other powerline in the top right corner]

    thanks for the comments -

number 9 was a toss up between getting the surf and a croked horizon, or not getting the surf. had myself contorted on the edge of the pier trying to get it all in. Not sure if works either myself, but I at least wanted it to be obvious that i was tilting the horizon intentionally.

rules... the stringent and unbreakable sort

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭eas

ouch - I've broken the rules than -

TBH I've never seen that before - notice it was only posted last week tho.

In fairness to me i did put in the title that there where lots of images and dial up people beware.

Should I edit this thread or is OK as a first offence?

The rules suck, by the way - there's no need for them.

where would we be without rules? Society as a whole would break down. We might as bloody well live in Mexico then! We'd have bandito's coming in, posting images with a flagrant disregard for peoples 56k modems and screen resolutions. I, for one, don't want to have to take on the task of running a whole group of bandito's out of town... do you? Hmm? Well? Do ya?

I'll let you off this one eas, next time I'll go ethnic on yo' ass. I'm off to hunt for bandito's.... and doritos.

    great - noted

as my father used to say "if your going to live under this roof, you dont have to like the rules, just respect them"
