Looking for some help here please.

I’m applying for a new job in IT, and I haven’t filled out a application form in years and I mean years, so I’m kind of in the dark on part of the form, > in the educational achievements section of the form, it stated Please include second level and third level educational achievements > / date / Educational Institution / conferring body / Course of Study / Qualification Achieved / Grades Achieved .

I’m unsure on what a conferring body is? So can some-one help me understand that? Also can i get some help & advise on the filling out the > date / Educational Institution / Course of Study / Qualification Achieved / Grades Achieved (correctly.

    Please help

    Thanks

This may be more suited to the Work/Jobs forum: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=10

    Also, got this:
    University (or other conferring body)

I think it means that "conferring body" means "on who's authority is the cert a cert", ie: is the cert certified by Microsoft (MSCE), Cisco (CCNA), Arts Degree (some university), etc.

    Hope this helps.

Date: time you attended your course and date of award

Educational Institution: whichever college u studied in

Conferring body: whoever conferred your award (in almost all 3rd level colleges this would be HETAC - the Higher Education and Training Awards Commission)

Course of Study: Degree in Information Technology (for example)

Qualification Achieved: Second class honours Grade 1 (2.1) for example

Grades Achieved: actual course module grades

For your second level education simply state your school as the institution and dept of education asthe awarding body and include the subjects you studied and the grades you got.

    good luck with the jobhunt

think I applied for the same position. Had a bit of trouble myself with that form. Just a quick one, has the form to be in by Friday at the latest??

If this doesn't conform to the forum's charter please remove. Thanks.
