    I don't mind the (nearly) mirrored city but I don't like the mirrored explosion, if it wasn't mirrored it would be better. Also, it doesn't look like a massive explosion, it looks more like a small explosion with debris flying - increased in size. I think that's due to larger explosions being more omnidirectional than smaller ones.

    Hmm, not really taken with the explosion (but hey, it's a first attempt), I love a lot of the other stuff on your deviantart though, especially the photography and pencil work.

    Incidentally, I'd look to www.artofgregmartin.com for some inspirational digital explosions. Mostly celestial bodies, but really breathtaking stuff to do with Photoshop.
