    Robert Winston gets 28 day ban from the Carlisle Stewards for his ride on Confide in the 315.
    He gets a 28 ban for 'failing to win a race he should have won'

    Was on, annoyed he fcuked up, maybe a bit harsh, but do like to see the stewards being proactive even with big name jocks.IMO Think it was a genuine mistake, (by a jockey who is much better than that) but if u dont ride out yur horse u can get turned over by a fast finishing nag coming from nowhere. Winston would be one of my fav jocks but oh dear! :)

    what thinks ye?

    its sick when it happens. don;t mind being beaten by a better horse but when the jockey fcuks up it really is annoying.

    He is out again today (and supposedly again tomorrow) , last race Thirsk as they are trying to get his weight up, in order to get into some handicap.

    Winston was ok about it, admitted the error and accepted his punishment.

    he said he looked to his left and right bout 4 times, and rumour has it he was looking at himself on the big video screen! DOH! if u look at teh replay and see how far back the winner came form u wouldnt give him a chance, and he did only win cause Winston dropped it.

    He should have got a ban but 28 days(month) is v v harsh. How long did Richie Loughnan get for his Central House debacle?

    Can't remember but think it was 21 days.

    Funny thing about Central House in cheltenham. Not sure where he finished (3rd/4th/5th) but I was at the finishing line and Loughran was still pumping away about twenty yards past it. Never again I reckon:)
