I downloaded the latest version of java to be compatable with my browser (IE) to use a chatroom and it works very slowly and is really annoying! I've reinstalled and restarted and it's still the same.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Than Q.

What chatroom? And what version of Java? Java chatrooms are slow anyway.

The newest version. It's definitely a software problem on my part.

Java is slow in general, especially if your PC's a bit old, and especially if the applet isn't written that well. What do you want from us?!

    A solution hopefully.

It used to be fine. It's only when i reinstalled it, did it become slow.

If it used to be fine, why did you reinstall it?

And the solution is, as always, Firefox.
