    Hey,
Does anyone know where I'd could get a 'stepdown converter' in Dublin city centre?

    (it's to charge a US DS-Lite).

    Cheers,
    Quad

You can probably get one in Peats.

Alternatively, I can give you one for free. I have one hanging around that's unused.

PM me if you want it.

Are you sure it even needs a stepdown transformer? Nearly all transformers I see these days are multi-voltage. If it says "100-240V" (or somewhere around those regions) on it you'll only need a plug adaptor.

Yup, unfortunately it ain't dual voltage. A step down converter is twenty five bloody quid in Maplins

Fortunately, a kind soul in the guise of Liamo has one spare.

Twentyfive euros, bloody hell. A lot of electrical retailers sell these, usually in two power ratings. One that does 40W is €10 in a shop here in Limerick anyway. I've seen them in other hardware/electrical shops too for the same price, not that you need it anymore.
