Just wondering if anyone is doing the Government and Public Policy Course and what they think of it, thinking of doing it and just wanted to get some feedback.

Thinking about doing Government in UCC next year. Anyone got any tips/experiences or warnings to share?

Thanks in advance (I hope )

    lol :D

I'd love to help you more but I'm not in the course and don't know anyone taking it.

There are details of the course outline here in the Academic Calender: http://www.ucc.ie/calendar/commerce/com008.html

and you can find detailed information on the individual course codes in the Book of Modules here: http://www.ucc.ie/modules/

Just search using the course code (e.g. GV1012 or whatever) that you can get from the Academic Calender. Yes, they really, really should just put a direct link from the calender to the Book of Modules but that would just make things too easy. ;)

Those are for this year too, so the degree might change next year (unlikely but it could happen).

Wow, thanks nesf! I've never seen the book of modules before, you've made it a lot less confusing :)

You could contact the staff in the department too. They'll help out with questions.

They don't write these things so people can grasp them easily. If you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be in college! It's all part of the "test" you see.. :p

I only put down 6 choices in my CAO (all lvl 8) and government was my 6th choice, but to be honest its kind of a safety course in case I mess up a bit.
It does look like a interesting course though I must admit but looking at commerce myself
