    Problem is that dell are doing brand new 'value' laptops for around 500 notes now, so its hard to convince anyone to part with more than that on a second hand. Perceived value is a difficult thing to convince people against.

    You might get a lil higher that 500e for it. Depends on the market I guess. You could always start at the max price you think u'd get and let people haggle.

    True. Even though ur laptop is prob a better spec, you'll have people thinking "I can get a new laptop for cheaper".
